ADVANCED TACTICS

Move and Shoot Obstacle Course
Prerequisites:  Team Tactics (Field)

Duration: 4 hours

Training topics and activities:

  • Individual move and shoot obstacle course
  • Paired move and shoot obstacle course
  • Team move and shoot obstacle course
  • Combat stress obstacle course

Required Equipment:
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Semi-automatic pistol with strong side holster
  • At least two magazines with 50 rounds of ammo
  • Tactical rifle with one or two point sling
  • At least two spare magazines
  • At least 100 rounds of rifle ammo (no steel core or AP rounds)
  • Chest rig, plate carrier or magazine pouches
Team Tactics (Field)
Prerequisites: Paired Tactics

Duration: 4 hours (May - Sept)  6 hours (Oct - April)

Training topics and activities:

  • Team formation
  • Establishing security
  • Team movement
  • Break contact drills (dry practice)
  • Fire and maneuver drills (dry practice)
  • Break contact drills (live fire)
  • Fire and maneuver drills (live fire)

Required Equipment:
  • Eye protection
  • Tactical rifle with single or two point sling
  • At least 100 rounds of rifle ammo (no steel core or AP rounds)
  • Chest rig or plate carrier


Rappelling and Fast Rope
Prerequisites:  Close Quarter Combat

Duration: 4 hours

Training topics and activities:

  • Equipment familiarization
  • Tower safety protocols
  • Belay techniques
  • Use of rappel equipment
  • Rappelling drills
  • Rappelling with tactical gear and weapons
  • Fast rope familiarization
  • Fast rope drills
  • Fast rope with tactical gear and weapons 

Required Equipment:
  • Eye protection
  • Leather gloves (provided)
  • Rappel harness (provided)
  • Bump helmet or ballistic helmet
  • Chest rig or plate carrier
  • Tactical rifle with single or two point sling

Paired Tactics
Prerequisites: Close Quarter Combat and TCCC

Duration: 4 hours (May - Sept)  6 hours (Oct - April)

Training topics and activities:

  • Review of weapon safety
  • Contact and control drills
  • Fire and maneuver drills
  • Break contact drills
  • Combat stress obstacle course

Required Equipment:
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Semi-automatic pistol with strong side holster
  • At least two magazines with 50 rounds of ammo
  • Tactical rifle with one or two point sling
  • At least two spare magazines
  • At least 100 rounds of rifle ammo (no steel core or AP rounds)
